All of our programs are written to be flexible and appeal to a mixed-age environment. Most of our courses are appropriate for 1st-6th graders (6-12 years old), but we also have some PreK-K programming and a selection of courses for 6-8th graders.
Our programs appeal to a wide array of students, and the kiddos who respond the most to what we do are those fueled by curiosity, who love to learn and are hungry for knowledge and engagement.
When it comes to learning, there is traditional education--what we think of as school with state and national standards. Then there is extension learning--such as high-level tutoring, more practice problems. Finally, there's enrichment--where you can dive in deeper to a topic or view it from a different perspective. All three--traditional, extension, and enrichment are all equally valid, and neither one is inherently better than the other.
At NuMinds we specialize in enrichment because it sparks the imagination and drives curiosity. We're not just studying Newton's 3rd Law, nor are we simply buildling a shiny rocket, we're doing both of those while asking the deeper question of why we want to journey into the cosmos.
We use our proprietary curriculum model to create unique, STEAM courses that allow for project-based, interdisciplinary study. All of our courses include options for choice and accelerated materials. Every class is taught by a trained Inspirator who has been trained to work with a wide variety of students in mixed-aged classroom models.
When NuMinds is managing course or camp enrollment:
30 days’ notice is required for cancellation of the remaining classes in the course series. Cancellation notice must be submitted via email to hello@numien.com. 10% of the registration tuition is non-refundable. A refund of future classes (starting 30 days after email notice) will be issued in the same manner as the payment was made.
24-hour notice is required if individual days will be missed (due to illness, vacation, etc.). The charge for the individual class(es) will be applied to the account in the form of credit.
We reserve the right to cancel a session date if participation numbers are not sufficient to support a class. In the event of a cancellation, you will be credited any amount paid.
First, we create programs--ranging from after-school programs and classroom curriculum to full events and week-long summer camps.
Then we train and support teachers all over the world on how to deliver our programs.
This is why we have programs ranging from Nevada, Texas, and Washington D.C., to Buenos Aires and Beirut.
