Q: How does scheduling work?

Every year, the team at Camp Pursuit creates 10 courses. While all of our courses are integrated, they are designed with a focus on each element of STEAM. So as you look through the catalog, you’ll see there are 2 Science courses, 2 Technology courses, 2 Engineering courses, 2 Art courses, and 2 Math courses.

Camp Pursuit is designed for campers to experience one course per day (a 4-day camp = 4 courses; a 5-day camp = 5 courses). This means there will always be more courses to choose from than a camper can take. This is intentional, as we want campers to have the element of choice as they customize their summer learning.

Scheduling is similar to registering for high school or college courses. For each category of STEAM, campers will select their first choice and an alternate backup. We begin to fill up the classes as registrations come in, creating more sections of a course as needed. NOTE: We often create multiple sections, which means if you and your friend are enrolled in “Rockets & Pasta,” you may be scheduled for different sections of the same course.

If the first choice does not have enough registrants, campers will be placed in their alternate backup. Because scheduling depends on the number of registrants and available staff, we are unable to confirm if a course has/has not made. You are able to see your course selections in the email confirmation you received after registering or by logging into the Care.com registration portal.

Q: Who is Camp Pursuit for?

Camp Pursuit was created for any kid who is fueled by curiosity, loves to learn, and hungers for knowledge and engagement. Most camps are 1st-8th grade (some locations vary). Please confirm a camp’s age range on its information page.

Q: What makes Camp Pursuit unique?

Camp Pursuit is built by educators who genuinely love to learn!  We use our proprietary curriculum model to create one-of-a-kind, STEAM courses that blend storytelling with project-based, interdisciplinary study.

All of our courses include built-in options for choice and accelerated materials, and every class is taught by a passionate Inspirator  who has been trained to work with a wide variety of students in mixed-aged classroom models.

Q: What does the daily schedule look like?

From drop off to pick up, we want you to feel secure, knowning that your camper is safe and having fun! Here's the most important details, but let us know if you still have questions:

  • There will be fun morning announcements, before going to the day's class. Each course is built for mixed-aged learning, with added challenges and opportunities to dive in deeper (or slow down) depending on your camper's unique learning pathway. Each day there are multiple hands-on activities and projects. Plus, a trained adventure guide is there to support and provide feedback.

  • We schedule breaks during the day. In the morning, it's a simple restroom/snack break. There's also lunch, afternoon activity hour and a daily mind/body challenge.

Q: Are there installment options?

Pricing varies by location and duration of the camp; however, many programs allow you to pay in installments. Check your location for more details.

Q: What is the cancellation policy?

$50 from each registration cost is non-refundable as it helps us cover the cost of credit card fees, clerical work, scheduling, and ordering supplies.

Cancellation notice must be submitted via email to NuMindsAdmin@numien.com. Refund will be issued in the same manner payment was made. 100% of tuition paid (not including the $50 Registration Fee) will be refunded if written notice is received no later than four weeks prior to session start date.

Cancellations received within four or less weeks of session start date forfeit full tuition.

We reserve the right to cancel a session date if participation numbers are not adequate. If your session is canceled, you may select an alternative session date or request a full refund (including registration). Any cancellations of sessions will occur a minimum of four weeks prior to the session.

Q: How do I get a Camp Pursuit near me?

Are you too far from the fun? We ordered a flying drone bus from Amazon, but until it gets here, what we do is partner with schools to bring Camp Pursuit to you.

We make the process simple, we hire locally, and we even offer profit sharing to help schools raise funds to keep for themselves. Simply let us know who to reach out to, and we will do our best to bring Camp Pursuit to a school near you!
